They have provided business loans worth over R20 billion since being founded in 1981 by the late Dr. Anton Rupert. At Wolf & Halo, I worked with Utopia (South Africa’s #1 small agency) to conceptualize and manage campaigns for their finance products. This included the creation of a multitude of original digital content, such as animated videos and static creatives.

In 2019, after Wolf & Halo revamped their website, I launched their digital marketing campaigns. Since then, I’ve been increasing sales while decreasing cost per sale for them, through a digital advertising strategy including Google and social media.

I’ve been able to reduce their cost per sale by 90% over time, even though we started out with a profitable return. On average, the ROI rate for revenue directly attributed to the campaigns is around 540%, meaning that they make their ad spend back more than five times each month. This number is likely even higher when considering indirect effects on other sources. We look forward to improving their sales even more.

During this time I developed a comprehensive digital content distribution strategy over Google and social media, including a video advertisement (with a sign language clip for the hearing-impaired).

In 2021, the United Party for National Development celebrated a historic landslide victory against the previous ruling party, the Patriotic Front. They won the election with almost 60% of the national vote, with a margin against the PF of more than 20%. This was the largest vote share any presidential election has seen since 1996.

I am proud to have played an instrumental role in establishing a solid online presence for the party during the campaign, through targeted paid media and an automated chatbot database that I managed at Wolf & Halo. I built the chatbot funnel within MobileMonkey and installed it on Facebook and on a campaign landing page to gather users’ contact details. These details, in turn, were used as a remarketing list.

VirSeker is a well-known Afrikaans-language insurance company, undersigned by Auto & General. They approached me at Wolf & Halo to create a custom landing page for a competition, along with a comprehensive digital marketing plan to bring traffic to this page. I also split all the traffic between 3 landing pages to find the best one for the audience.

The campaign was very successful – more than 12 000 people visited the landing pages, with over 8 000 of these clicking through to the sign-up form, meaning that the landing pages had a conversion rate of 65%.

Through a website redesign and demand generation campaigns, Wolf & Halo and I enhanced Energy Partners Home Solutions’s digital experience and helped them connect with the right audience at the right time. The result: a 44% lead to opportunity ratio.

I worked closely with EPHS (Energy Partners Home Solutions) for 15 months to develop a digital content and deployment strategy on Google and social media. The aim?
